Threaded Comments: Mentioning users should notify the user in the Notifications tab#65

As a User, I’d like to be notified in the Notifications tab (bell icon) whenever someone mentions/pings me in Threaded Comment, just like how it is for the native Trello Comment. This makes for better visibility.

Mention notifications is table stakes; without this feature I can’t use Threaded Comments.

But the Notifications tab is not enough. My users need to get emails when they are mentioned, since they simply are not in the habit of checking their notificaiton tabs. Do we need to make that a separate request? Or is that understood as part of being int he notifications tab?

Same as above. I tried rolling this out for a week with my team but the lack of notifications killed it very quickly. Hope this can be fixed as overall we would use it in a heartbeat if it did.

As above. We rely on email/bell notifications when we’re away from laptops. We won’t be able to use it until this is developed.
